What is Hypnobirthing / Hypno-Natal® ?
Hypnobirthing / Hypno-Natal® are the term that describes using hypnosis in childbirth.
There are method of hypnosis accessible to all future mothers in order to them to feel physically, mentally and spiritually prepared and reduce her awareness of fear, anxiety and pain during childbirth.
The goal is to provide to all pregnant women a better birthing experience. Of course, all births are different and using hypnosis & self-hypnosis are not a guarantee that you will have a natural & vaginal birth. Rather, it give you back control and better chance of feeling relaxed and calm and to welcome the birth how it would come.
How does it work ?
The idea behind hypnosis for birth is that learning to control your thoughts can help control pain. In fact, if during the labour, the woman interprets the pain as a positive or productive, she will experience less pain.
And we know that when we are stressed, our body produces the hormone adrenaline. This raises the heart rate and blood pressure, and oxygen gets diverted to our essential organs. However, adrenaline slows down labour by inhibiting oxytocin, the hormone that helps with contractions. Adrenalin makes muscles tighten and makes us feel more pain.
The Oxytocin hormones is one essential during the labour, which allows muscles to relax and decreases the awareness of pain.
So, learning techniques to calm dow as Self-hypnoisis, meditation... and knowing what to expect during labour may help reduce fear and anxiety about giving birth.
How are the sessions Hypno-Natal® with me?
I offer this Hypno-Natal® individual support, which is composed of 4 individual sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, from the 4/5th month of pregnancy. Each session addresses a particular theme followed by a specific relaxation time rich in metaphors and symbols.
A booklet and audio recordings will be given to you at the end of the sessions so that you can practice at home
During the sessions, we work on physical and mental relaxation combined with visualizations, positive suggestions and metaphors especially created for pregnancy and childbirth. It is a simple and accessible method for all expectant mothers.
Thanks to a state of focused attention that promotes internal communication, this technique helps to live the pregnancy as serenely as possible and positively apprehend childbirth. It allows women to draw from them intuition and personal assurance in order to fully and actively experience the birth of their child.
I recommend to pregnancy partner to come at least during the first session in order to experience this state of well-being and learn to manage their emotions.

I am Audrey, a mother and a entrepreneur, who has created my own practice in short therapy (hypnotherapy & coaching) in Berlin in 2018. I help people to go through traumatic situations, life transitions and career changes.
I have decided to specialized in HypnoNatal after the birth of my child, in order to help all women to take their control of their emotions to feel more confident for the birth, matter how it would be.
