About the method
Developed and taught by Lise Bartoli, a clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist with over twenty years of experience in perinatal care, Hypno-Natal® empowers future mothers to tap into their inner resources. This hypnosis method allows you to fully experience your pregnancy and childbirth while maintaining a deep connection with your baby.
How Can hypnosis help you feel more relaxed and confident?
Hypnosis is a powerful tool for helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and emotionally empowered during pregnancy and birth—but how exactly does it work?
At a neurological level, hypnosis shifts the brain from a state of heightened alertness (often dominated by anxiety and overthinking) into a state of relaxed, focused awareness. This state—similar to meditation or daydreaming—is called the theta brainwave state. In this deeply relaxed state, the conscious mind becomes quiet, and the subconscious mind becomes more accessible.
This is important because many of our fears, insecurities, and stress responses are stored not in the rational, thinking part of the brain (the prefrontal cortex), but in the limbic system—the part responsible for emotions and survival responses like fight, flight, or freeze.
When you're in hypnosis, your brain becomes more receptive to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking. This allows you to:

Fear and anxiety often cause the body to tense up—especially in the pelvis and abdominal area—which can increase discomfort during labor. Hypnosis helps break this cycle by creating a calm mental environment that tells the body:

Individual Support Tailored to You
I offer personalized Hypno-Natal® support through four individual sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, starting from the 4th or 5th month of pregnancy. Each session focuses on a specific theme, followed by a relaxation period enriched with metaphors and symbols.
At the end of the program, you will receive a booklet and audio recordings to continue your practice at home.
